Established more than 50 years ago, Verulam Writers' Circle is one of the premier organisations for writers in Hertfordshire, England. Based in St Albans, it meets regularly at two local venues, offering writers' workshops, manuscript evenings and much more.
We welcome all writers, whether writing fiction or non-fiction and whether writing for pleasure or for publication. We offer encouragement through constructive critique, talks, competitions and workshops. Most of all, we love writing and writers.

Not in Hertfordshire, but want to engage with serious writers? Visit If Shakespeare..., the Verulam Writers' Circle blog. Only members can create articles but we welcome comment from anyone serious about writing (registration is required to make comments).
