May Badman (Ivimy)
May was originally a member of our Circle before veering off in 1966 to form the very successful Ver Poets. She forged it into a group with a postal membership from around the world in addition to regular fortnightly meetings for Hertfordshire members at the St Albans Boys School. She also initiated a countrywide poetry competition which was then published in a limited edition each year. She ran the group for many years with the help of her husband before recently passing the baton on to next generation of poets.
